Assistant Project Manager / Project Controls Assistant
Job Type: Direct Full-Time Hire | Remote/Hybrid with 50% travel per month
Initial Location: Onsite in New York for the first 3 months, then remote with 50% travel to MN corporate offices. Travel expenses included.
PM will support on site in upstate NY for the first 3-6 months at the Data Center they are constructing, then will transition to remote work with about 50% travel per month (will vary from month to month). Travel will include multiple other sites.
Prefer candidates that are local to Minnesota or are willing to relocate to the Midwest for this direct remote opportunity
Position Details/Scope of Work: Project Details:
The Assistant Project Manager / Project Controls Assistant will report to the Senior PM and Operations teams. The individual will be responsible for a limited scope of work of administrative tasks, including scheduling and cost tracking, coordinating communication between the PM and the Project Team, supporting the management of schedules, budgets, and resources, and creating and updating and file project documentation. The scheduling and cost tracking will involve taking the existing schedule and updating it daily, as well as providing the job cost tracking and reporting based on the inputs received from the team. Position will support a datacenter project which is a rapidly growing market segment.
Need an individual who will be FLEXIBLE - The scope of support will frequently change as they navigate and support new projects.
Education/Experience Requirements:
It is required to have a high school diploma (if no degree, must have adequate administrative experience).
Beneficial, if the candidate has an Electrical discipline background
Nuclear experience
Some project controls background.
Must have adequate administrative experience.
Computer savviness/literacy is an absolute MUST.
Must have knowledge of GANTT AND / OR ProCore softwares (having experience with both would be ideal).
The individual must have experience populating and managing a project specific load-board as well.
Preferred:
Mechanical aptitude
Associate degree or a bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is preferred
