Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate
Work Schedule: 5x10's to start, additional OT may be required at times
PD: $166.00 (GSA Rate)
Mob / Demob: $500.00
Duration: Initially One Year w/ annual extensions expected
Position Details/Scope of Work:
Responsibilities
Support Offshore Substation Platform (OSP) Commissioning with all activities related to Export Cable Testing and Commissioning. Manage and coordinate the Control and Protection System Interoperability Tests between the Company, and Contractor. Support the SCADA Integration Test Related to Wind Turbine Generator SCADA System related to Switchgear Control and Windfarm Management System.
Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services
The Commissioning Specialist's primary role is to Consult and Support the Commissioning Process for the Offshore project
Witnessing all Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Onshore and Offshore Cold Commissioning, and supporting the project commissioning team during initial energization, hot commissioning, interim operation through O&M Turnover
Responsibilities Manage the Package Commissioning activities and supervise Contractor Commissioning Activities ensuring compliance with the Company Requirements during all the stages until turnover to Operations
Oversee all Contractor Commissioning activities in terms of quality, technical review, contractual and schedule compliance, including the interfaces with the relevant contractors from other packages
Support Offshore Substation Platform Commissioning team with all activities related to Export Cable Testing and Commissioning
Education Requirements:
Qualifications Minimum of 5 Years of experience with Transmission Systems and/or offshore wind
Minimum of 2 Years Commissioning on substation, switchyard or wind projects
Heavy Electrical and Instrumentation
IT literacy with the ability to utilize MS Office systems and other IT based Project Management software
Flexibility to travel regularly to attend meetings and work at different project sites
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing working environment and demonstrate a positive approach to change
High degree of self-motivation with a flexible approach to work
