Estimated Duration: 2 years
TVA Per Diem: $1,500 / month
Position Description:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects according to specifications and within budget from initiation through completion.
The Senior Project Manager leads Joint Project Teams (JPTs), applying professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedule, cost, and performance risk to ensure projects are completed within established constraints such as time, budget, personnel, quality, and materials.
This role is generally assigned large, multifaceted projects and serves as the single point of contact regarding a specific project while assuming the leadership role in safely managing the project.
Project Details
Large-scale nuclear project management assignments
Responsible for managing complex, multifaceted projects
Leads Joint Project Teams (JPTs)
Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned projects
Responsible for project execution from initiation through completion
Focus on schedule management, cost control, performance risk, and overall project quality
Ensures projects are completed safely and within established constraints
Budget Responsibility
Capability to manage:
Large project budgets exceeding $25 million, or
A portfolio of projects with an aggregate total exceeding $75 million across all active assigned projects
Skills & Experience Required
Strong project leadership and team management experience
Experience leading Joint Project Teams (JPTs)
Ability to manage project schedule, cost, and performance risk
Experience managing large, multifaceted nuclear projects
Strong coordination and execution skills from project initiation through completion
Ability to safely manage projects while maintaining high-quality standards
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to serve as the single point of contact for project-related activities
Experience managing large project budgets and/or multiple active projects simultaneously
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a technical field
OR
Equivalent education, training, and/or related work experience
Preferred Education
Master’s degree preferred but not required
Certifications / Licenses
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) required within one year of appointment or assuming the Senior Project Manager position

Preferred Certifications
Demonstrated desire to excel in professional field of study through certifications or licensure preferred but not required, such as:
PE (Professional Engineer)
CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
CFP (Certified Financial Planner)
