Jr. and Sr. Radiation Protection Technician I and II


Training Location: Kings Mountain, NC


Work Location:  Seneca, SC and Hartsville, NC


Rate: Open, non-exempt / need Candidate’s requested rate


Hours: 40+


Duration: October 14th – November 9th, possibility of extension


Per Diem: GSA rates for lodging and M&IE


Mob / Demob: GSA mileage + hourly rate when driving


US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED



Position Details/ Requirements:

Must have worked at a commercial nuclear power plant



Sr. Radiation Protection Technician I

  • Sr RP has two years of experience as a Jr RP tech.

  • Do you have the following quals /certs (on resume)

    • RPFUN2RP Fundamental for Senior Task Qualification

    • RP02.01 Protable Survey Instruments

    • RP02.02 Performing Radiation Contamination Surveys

    • RP02.03 Collect and Evaluate Radiological Air Samples

    • RP02.04 Post Low Level Radiological Hazards

    • RP02.05 LHRA Briefing Video

    • RP02.05 Control Access into High Radiation Areas and Locked High Radiation Areas

    • RP02.06 Monitor Personnel Contamination and "Unconditional Release

    • RP02.07 Control of Radioactive Material within the an Radiologically Controlled Area

    • RP02.08 Use and control of Hepa Filtration and Vacuum Equipment

    • RP02.10 Radiological Job Coverage

    • Current Respiratory Protection Physical

  • Sr RP has three years of experience.
