Structural Supervising Engineer - Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC

Duration of Work Assignment: 18 months with potential for extension

Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate

US Citizen Required (Due to the nature of work that United performs, candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the United States)


The Structural Supervising Engineer's responsibilities include: Functioning as the structural discipline lead on a project; As the structural engineer of record for assigned projects, using your professional engineering license to sign and seal structural drawings developed under your supervision; Power plant and heavy industrial facility design; Ability to coordinate interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete project tasks on schedule and on budget; Reviewing relevant codes, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support project development; Performing structural calculations, developing engineering reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings; and the Ability to develop material and workhour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules.


Education:Candidate DOES NOT have to have nuclear experience. Candidate must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering from a 4-year acceredited college or university OR an M.S. in Civil (Structural Engneering), Must have a PE License in the US, and a minimum of 8 years of experience with structural engineering and design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. The candidate must have experience with industry standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, MathCad, etc. The candidate must have experience supporting Power Generation and Heaving Industrial Projects. The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of collaborating with the multi-discipline engineers and designers. It is PREFERRED that the candidate have experience in seismic analysis and design of structures, systems, and components for power plants, and experience with ANSYS and AutoDesk Advance Steel is a plus.
