Thermal Performance Engineer
Project: Power Uprate Project – Turbine BOP (BOP + Turbine experience Required)
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate
Duration: Initially 11 months (could be up to 2 years)
Schedule: 40 Hours per week
PD: $178.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $500.00 each way ($1,000 total)
This role requires extensive expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to evaluate and enhance the efficiency and reliability of power generation systems.
Support the monitoring and analysis of the thermal performance of power plants, including turbines, boilers, heat exchangers, cooling systems, and other thermal systems.
Develop and validate advanced performance models to assess system efficiency, identify areas of improvement
Support improvement projects, including upgrades, modifications, and retrofits, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
Maintain comprehensive thermal performance databases, monitoring systems, and software tools for data analysis and reporting.
Provide expert technical support for plant operations, troubleshooting complex thermal performance issues, and recommending corrective actions
Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities related to thermal performance initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
BOP experience and Turbine Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience in thermal performance engineering within the power generation industry
