Training Support Specialists - Richland, WA

Work Location: On-site – Richland, WA | Hanford Site (Fermi Building)

Pay Rate / Range: $40-55/hr non-exempt

Position Details:

• Under general supervision, analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate project training using the client’s systematic approach to training.

• Develop training materials such as Job-task lists, On-the-Job Training qualification cards, Qualification Standards, Classroom training materials and knowledge tests.

• Ensure that work activities to develop and revise training materials and procedures comply with the client’s standards, processes, and procedures.

• Work with functional managers, technical authorities, subject matter experts, and field workers to ensure procedures are written in a manner commensurate with the training, qualification, and experience of the workers.

• Development and modification of project’s training option sets, staff’s training plans, etc.

• Development of training status reports.

• Provide support to the Procedures organization on an as-needed basis, to include:

• Develop procedures including drafting, editing, and revising and performing comment resolution.

• Perform equipment walk downs to verify field conditions.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with 5 or more years of training experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Will consider 8 years of directly related experience in lieu of a BA/BS degree.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

• Experience with the Job Hazard Analysis process.

• Knowledge and understanding of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT). Knowledge of regulatory requirements for training and facility operations.

• Capable of developing and delivering operational, maintenance, or other technical training related to operation of pumps, valves, ventilation systems, waste transfer systems, chemical systems, radiological controls, Lockout/Tagout process, conduct of operations, and documented safety analysis.
