Hours: Full Time and Flexible
Duration: 5 - 6 months (covering a leave of absence)
Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility on days and daily hours

1. Accounting Experience in a Relevant Industry – 2-5 years of experience in accounting within fields such as distributed energy or construction.
2. Expertise ERP Systems – Solid understanding of project and asset accounting methodologies, with strong proficiency in ERP system Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a must.
3. Advanced Excel and Financial Reporting Skills – Ability to create and analyze financial reports, with expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
4. Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to derive meaningful conclusions from financial analysis and planning to support decision-making.
5. Strong Communication and Collaboration Skills – Ability to work across functional teams in a fast-paced environment, with strong interdisciplinary communication and adaptability.
The individual should possess accounting experience in a technical, project-based environment to support to client in pursuit of new distributed energy, microgrid and energy as a service investment opportunity.
Candidates must possess strong knowledge of US GAAP, proficiency with ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
They must thrive in a team that is highly analytical and values creativity, collaboration, perseverance, and strong written and oral communication skills.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, specific responsibilities of the position include but may not be limited to:
• Participating in month, quarter, and year-end close activities, ensuring integrity and accuracy of financial data
• Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable including Vendor and Customer onboarding, ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Creating and posting journal entries to various ledgers
• Assembling financial reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements
• Deriving meaningful conclusions from financial analysis and planning to support decision-making
• Participating in the continuous improvement of our ERP system (Dynamics 365), actively engaging in roll-out and testing
• Assisting with regulatory filings
• Supporting ad-hoc requirements and special projects as necessary
Qualifications:
We are looking for a top performer with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a U.S. GAAP setting. A successful candidate will be an adept problem-solver combining exceptional accounting skills with good judgment-and the desire to grow their analytical abilities in a complex environment. They are expert users of the Microsoft Office software suite including Excel and PowerPoint and are able to concisely summarize analyses in charts, graphs and financial output pages. They will maintain meticulous accuracy in a multi-project, multi-entity setting and will thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment demanding a high level of interpersonal skills and collaboration across functional teams. A positive, collaborative tone and the fostering of a collegial and ethical culture are second nature to them.
Required Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of accounting experience in related field such as distributed energy or construction

Preferred Qualifications:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Previous exposure to customer, investor, and/or lender reporting
• Experience working in a small, expanding organization
• Experience working with multiple legal entities, including some with complex legal structures
• Experience with partnership taxation
• Interest in clean energy technology such as solar PV, CHP, battery storage, fuel cells
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics or another related area of study. Advanced degree or CPA is a Plus.
