Duration: 1 year (potential to extend)
ST Pay Rate: $70-$73/hr (W2)
Per Diem: Yes
Hours: 40+

Job Summary:
Candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing Design Changes, calculations, and technical evaluations in support of large capital projects as part of Surry Power Station’s Subsequent License Renewal.
Candidate will work extensively with Engineers of Choice and manufacturers to ensure designs satisfy technical specifications and station design/license basis.
Projects include, but are not limited to – 96” circulating water intake piping replacement, 4160V Cable Replacement, Fuel Handling Cranes Replacement, Containment cooling coil replacement, and R22 Elimination
Required Education and Certifications / Licenses:
B.S. in Civil, Structural, or Engineering Mechanics
Has held qualifications at a nuclear power station in the last 3 years – including Design Change, Calculations, and 50.59 applicability/screen
Top “must have” / Required skill sets (technical/functional):
Strong analytical capability in steel and concrete design
Proficient in the nuclear Standard Design Process and license/design basis assessment per 10CFR50.59
Construction and implementation experience

Architect/Engineer companies such as Sargent & Lundy, Enercon, Zachry, and similar
