Duration: 6+ months
ST Pay Rate: $85-95/hr nonexempt (will consider qualified candidates above this range)
Per Diem: June 1 - July 31 (Summer Rates): $289.00/day (7 days per week)
October 1 - May 31 & August 1 - September 30 (Off-Peak/Other): $249.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: GSA lodging & M&IE Expenses
Hours: 40 hrs per week

Project Details
This position supports a portfolio of I&C projects including digital upgrades and analog-to-digital conversions, DCS/PLC modifications and commissioning, control valve and positioner upgrades, Engineering Change (EC) development and closeout, instrumentation calibration and functional testing coordination.
Responsibilities:
Manage full project lifecycle including scope, schedule, budget, and quality for I&C modification and upgrade projects
Oversee DCS/PLC modifications, digital upgrades, analog-to-digital conversions, and control valve/positioner replacements
Coordinate instrumentation calibration, loop checkout, and functional testing activities
Lead Engineering Change (EC) development, implementation, and closeout
Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, operations, maintenance, and outage planning
Ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards and regulatory requirements
Manage vendors, contractors, change orders, and formal progress reporting
Support outage planning and execution activities as required
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 5+ years of nuclear I&C project management experience,
OR 10+ years of nuclear or power generation I&C project management experience without a degree
Must Have Requirements:
Mandatory hands-on experience managing instrumentation and controls projects at commercial nuclear power facilities
PMP certification preferred (PMI PMP or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of nuclear safety standards and regulatory compliance (10 CFR, NQA-1, etc.)
Experience with DCS/PLC systems, digital transmitter replacements, control valve upgrades, and cyber security compliance in a nuclear environment
Proven experience with budget management, schedule control, and leading multidisciplinary teams
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
