Electrical Engineer

Work Location:  Limestone Generating Station - Gas Plant - Jewett, TX

Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate

Hours: 40 hrs per week (4 -10s Mon-Thur) | OT must be pre-approved

Per diem:  $178.00/day (7 days per week)

Mob / Demob:  $500.00 each way ($1,000 total) 

Duration:  Long Term

Position Overview:  We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the NRG Limestone Project. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a major energy infrastructure initiative while working with a team committed to operational excellence and technical precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and review electrical systems and components for power generation facilities

• Perform electrical system calculations, load analyses, and equipment sizing

• Prepare and review technical specifications, drawings, and procurement documents

• Conduct field inspections and verify installation compliance with design specifications

• Troubleshoot electrical systems and provide technical solutions to operational challenges

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, and project stakeholders

• Support commissioning activities and startup operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

• Minimum 5 years of experience in power generation or heavy industrial facilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with combined cycle or fossil fuel power plants

• Knowledge of generator systems, switchgear, and motor control centers

Security Requirements

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Education / Experience Requirements:

• Engineer degree is mandatory

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
