Project Details: This role supports the electrical installation and infrastructure buildout phase of the nuclear fuel manufacturing facility. The facility is in active ramp-up, with significant equipment arriving onsite and a critical need for experienced electrical leadership to manage installation activities and drive the project toward key operational milestones.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the layout and installation of switchgear, I&C rooms, and electrical infrastructure across the fuel manufacturing facility
Supervise and direct electrical technicians and contractors performing hands-on installation and field wiring work
Manage electrical contractor performance, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and applicable codes
Own electrical installation deliverables end-to-end — from planning through completion — and track and report progress to the I&C/E Director
Coordinate with engineering, I&C, and operations teams to align electrical infrastructure with overall facility buildout requirements
Identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, or schedule risks related to electrical installation activities
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and standards including NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, and IEEE standards as applicable
Support commissioning readiness activities as electrical systems are completed and handed over
Review and evaluate electrical calculations, design packages, drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables for fuel facility infrastructure and systems.
Provide technical oversight and coordination of external electrical engineering and design contractors throughout the facility design phase.
Support design reviews, comment resolution, and design change activities to ensure quality, constructability, and regulatory compliance.
Serve as the primary interface between engineering design teams and project leadership ahead of equipment procurement, delivery, installation, and commissioning activities.
Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing electrical design efforts for industrial, manufacturing, process, energy, or nuclear facilities strongly preferred.
Electrical Engineering degree and prior experience reviewing electrical system designs, calculations, and engineering documentation preferred.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent combination of education and directly relevant field experience will be considered
10+ years of experience in electrical construction, installation, or field engineering, with demonstrated progression into supervisory or superintendent-level responsibility
Hands-on experience with switchgear layout, electrical infrastructure installation, and field wiring in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Demonstrated project management capability — ability to own deliverables, manage scope, track progress, and report status to leadership
Experience supervising electrical contractors and/or field technicians
Working knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, and applicable IEEE electrical standards
Strong communication and coordination skills across engineering, construction, and operations teams
Strongly Preferred:
Experience in nuclear fuel manufacturing or pharmaceutical batch manufacturing facilities
Familiarity with DOE facility requirements or comparable regulated industrial environments
Prior involvement in greenfield or new-facility buildout projects
PMP Certification
Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
