Project: Palisades Nuclear Power Plant re-start, maintenance, and repairs
Work Location: Full Time on Site - Covert, Michigan
Hours: Full time / 40+ hours (onsite)
Responsibilities:
Expedite and track the delivery of goods, materials, and services required for the operation of nuclear facilities, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to monitor the status of orders, resolve delays, and ensure that delivery commitments are met in accordance with procurement agreements.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as purchasing agents, project managers, and logistics teams, to coordinate and facilitate the timely receipt of goods and materials.
Identify and address potential supply chain issues, such as shortages, backorders, or quality concerns, and take proactive measures to mitigate any potential impact on operations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement and delivery activities, including order status, shipping documentation, and supplier communications.
Assist in the resolution of discrepancies, invoicing issues, or damaged shipments, working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
Support the development and implementation of expedited procurement strategies to minimize lead times, optimize inventory levels, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Stay informed about industry trends and logistics best practices to continually improve and streamline the procurement and delivery processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Proven experience in procurement, expediting, or supply chain coordination, preferably in a nuclear or highly regulated industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, logistics coordination, and supplier management.
Familiarity with nuclear industry regulations and experience working with nuclear-specific suppliers is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues.
Proficiency in using procurement and supply chain management software, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple expedited orders simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to expediting procurement processes.
Prior nuclear experience is mandatory
