Facility Licensing Basis Lead
Work Location: CA or UT (Hybrid - 2 weeks onsite / 2 weeks remote)

Hours: 40 +
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and control the licensing basis documentation for nuclear facilities.
Establish and implement processes for managing the facility design and licensing basis across DoD/DoE, fuel facility, and/or commercial nuclear programs as assigned.
Perform technical reviews of design changes, procedures, and modifications for licensing basis implications.
Support preparation of regulatory submittals and facility authorization documentation for DOE and other applicable authorities.
Lead resolution of licensing basis discrepancies and non-conformances. Provide guidance to licensing staff on licensing basis requirements and interpretation.
Maintain awareness of evolving DOE and federal regulatory requirements affecting facility authorization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on nuclear licensing experience will be considered.
Minimum 10+ years of nuclear licensing or nuclear engineering experience with emphasis on licensing basis management.
Strong knowledge of DOE facility authorization and licensing basis documentation requirements.
Experience with design change control processes and technical specification management.
Familiarity with DOE Orders applicable to nuclear facility operations and safety.
Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
