Work Location: Utah (Onsite 100%)

Hours: 40+
Per diem: $178.00/day - Orangeville, UT
Mob/Demob: $500.00/each way
Duration: 6 months+
The required qualifications are as follows:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience will be considered
8+ years of experience in electrical and/or I&C engineering within med device, pharma, industrial, petrochemical, refinery, or similar sensitive environments
Strong working knowledge of electrical design deliverables including single line diagrams, short circuit calculations, protection settings, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics
Demonstrated familiarity with power conversion systems and associated electrical design
Experience supervising or managing electrical contractors in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Proven ability to make sound, independent safety decisions in sensitive and regulated environments — comfort working in high-consequence settings is essential
Proficiency in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar
Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards including NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, and applicable IEEE standards
Strong communication and coordination skills across engineering, contractor, and operations teams
Position Details:
Supervise electrical contractors through the design phase of the fuel manufacturing facility buildout, ensuring deliverables are completed accurately, on schedule, and in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications
Review and provide engineering oversight of design deliverables including single line diagrams, short circuit calculations, protection setting requirements, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics
Serve as the primary technical point of contact
Coordinate with I&C, mechanical, and operations engineering teams to ensure electrical design is aligned with overall facility requirements
Identify and resolve design issues, conflicts, or schedule risks and escalate as appropriate to the I&C/E Director
Track and report design progress, deliverable status, and contractor performance to facility leadership
Support transition from design phase to installation and commissioning as the project advances
Apply sound safety judgment in a sensitive, regulated environment — recognizing hazards, enforcing safe work practices, and escalating safety concerns without hesitation
Ensure all design work complies with applicable codes and standards including NEC (NFPA 70), NFPA 70E, and IEEE standards as applicable
Strongly Preferred:
Nuclear fuel manufacturing or nuclear facility experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with DOE facility requirements or comparable regulated industrial environments
Prior experience on greenfield or new-facility buildout projects
Background supporting design-to-installation transitions in industrial or manufacturing environments
