Work Location:  CA or UT (Hybrid - 2 weeks onsite / 2 weeks remote)

Duration:  Long Term - Hire options are flexible:

  • Direct Hire Full Time Employee

    • 6-month contract-to-hire through staff aug

    • Staff Aug only

Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate

Hours: 40 +


Responsibilities:

  • Perform licensing engineering activities in support of DoD/DoE, fuel facility, and/or commercial nuclear programs as assigned.    

  • Prepare, review, and submit licensing documentation and regulatory submittals to DOE, DoD, and/or applicable regulatory authorities.   

  • Maintain and update licensing basis documentation including safety analysis reports, technical specifications, and facility authorizations.   

  • Perform technical evaluations of design changes, procedure modifications, and temporary alterations for licensing implications.   

  • Conduct technical reviews to ensure compliance with applicable DOE Orders and federal nuclear regulations.

  • Support preparation of responses to regulatory requests for additional information.   

  • Coordinate with engineering, QA, and safety teams on licensing-related activities.   

  • Maintain awareness of regulatory developments affecting assigned project licensing tracks.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on nuclear licensing experience will be considered.    

  • Minimum 3–7 years of nuclear licensing or related nuclear engineering experience.   

  • Experience with DOE, DoD, and/or commercial nuclear licensing processes.   

  • Knowledge of applicable DOE Orders and federal nuclear regulations.   

  • Strong technical writing and regulatory documentation skills.


Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
