Work Location: Full Time on Site, New Mexico
Duration: 11+ months
Rate: Is open and non-exempt
Hours: Full time / 40 hours (onsite)
Per diem: $178.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $750.00 each way ($1,500.00 total)
Trip Home: 1 paid trip home per month

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical systems and components, contributing to the creation of cutting-edge solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software and engineering principles
Create detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly
Conduct analysis and testing of designs to ensure performance, reliability, and safety
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other systems and components
Participate in prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs
Evaluate and select materials, components, and suppliers for mechanical systems
Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards for mechanical engineering
Support manufacturing and production teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting
Maintain accurate records of design iterations, test results, and project documentation
Education/Experience Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, preferably in a related industry
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools
Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
Experience with simulation and analysis tools for mechanical designs
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) License obtained by accredited examination
5-6 years of related work experience: of which 2 years’ experience is in a nuclear facility
