Job Title: Offshore Medic (Immediate Start)
Location: Norfolk, VA, USA. Offshore (Wind/Oil/Gas Projects)
Contract Type: W-2 or 1099 Contractor
Daily Rate: Open – Candidate to Provide Requested Daily Rate
(anticipated range: $450–$650/day)
Start Date: Immediate or ASAP
Preferred Location: U.S. or Canada-based candidates
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Offshore Medic to support ongoing offshore operations in the wind, oil, and gas sectors. The ideal candidate will be confident in providing both emergency and routine medical care in remote offshore environments. This role offers strong potential for long-term work based out of Norfolk, VA, USA.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide medical support and emergency response to personnel offshore
Conduct routine health checks and maintain accurate medical records
Ensure compliance with HSE standards and medical protocols
Manage the offshore medical facility and inventory of supplies
Participate in safety drills and emergency preparedness exercises
Support overall offshore project operations and team wellbeing
Must Have Requirements (to be considered):
Proven offshore experience in wind, oil, or gas sectors
Certification and training as a Medic, Paramedic, or equivalent
Valid offshore safety certifications, including:
HUET (OPITO certified)
GWO Basic Safety Training with Sea Survival, including:
Fire Awareness
First Aid
Manual Handling
Sea Survival
Working at Heights
Must have a U.S. B1-OCS Visa (required for offshore wind activity in U.S. OCS waters)
Offshore medical evaluation (standard physical acceptable)
Some level of project management experience
Ability to complete clients specific 1-hour online environmental training after onboarding
Must be able to mobilize immediately or on short notice
Rotations:
Typical offshore rotations may include 2, 3, 4, or 6 weeks depending on project needs and candidate availability.
Compensation:
Daily rate: $450–$650 depending on experience and certifications
Contractor status: W-2 or 1099 accepted
Travel and mobilization support as applicable
Projected Timelines:
Campaign 1: April 2025 – End of September 2025
Campaign 2: December 2025 – April 2026
Campaign 3: May 2026 - End of September 2026
