Operations Analyst – Norfolk VA
Duration: 12 month (with possibility of extension)
ST Pay Rate: $29.00/hour w2
Hours: Rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays (as needed)
Work Location: Norfolk, VA (onsite)
Job Summary:
Gathers and analyzes customer calls and various computer data to determine location and cause of power outages.
Efficiently dispatches first response personnel and repair crews to provide quick and logical response to outages and emergency situations.
Performs callouts in ARCOS for service restoration, emergencies, planned overtime, and fill-shifts.
Required Education and Certifications / Licenses:
Minimum High School Diploma/GED
Top “must have” / Required skill sets (technical/functional):
Ability to handle multiple tasks from start to finish, prioritizing and handling constantly changing priority levels
Ability to work under pressure and make well thought out decisions
Ability to analyze large subsets of data from multiple information sources and determine and create appropriate action plans
Strong Customer service skills with prior experience in a long-term hands-on operations analyst role supporting internal and external clients
Prior dispatch skills (911 operations centers, utilities operations centers, etc.)
Soft skill requirements (team fit and personality requirements):
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Ideal background / Companies / Industry Experience:
Prior utilities operations center experience or 911 operations center experience as an operations analyst
