Process Engineer – Houston, TX
Estimated Duration of Work Assignment: 12 months
Pay Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate
Per Diem: Not Offered
Hours: 40 hours/week estimated, depending on project needs, 50 hours/week max. Working in person at the Houston office.
Position Details:
Plan, organize, and coordinate process / mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined
team / design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup
Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to Piping and Instrumentation
Diagram (P&ID) development
Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems, water and waste systems, and equipment design
Generate and review the accuracy of design / evaluation calculations, and specifications
Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required
Desired Qualifications / Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of five (5) or more years of experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering
Must have a working knowledge of federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design"
Physical Requirements: Yes. Job duties may include periodic physical duties. Most job duties will require the ability to work at a desk - sitting/standing in a stationary position for extended periods of time, visual acuity for computer work, etc.
