Project Engineer (0-3)

Work Location:  Arkansas Nuclear One – Russellville. AR

Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate

Hours: Full Time (40 / wk)

Duration: Long Term (w/option to go direct after 6 months, if desired)

Per diem:  $178.00/day (7 days per week)

Mob / Demob: $500 each way ($1,000 total)

Position Details:  We are seeking a Mechanical/Civil Engineer to fill the position of Project Engineer as they support operations at ANO in Russellville, AR

Required Duties: 

• Design, drafting & detailing of structural/mechanical systems & retrofits. 

• Design, drafting & detailing of new equipment components for field applications. • Equipment/technology research & investigation. 

• Generate structural/mechanical engineering reports, calculations & evaluations. 

• Assembly of design & drawing packages for submittal & quotation. 

• Scheduling & estimating in support of projects. 

• Procurement, fabrication tracking & expediting in support of projects. 

• On-Site field walkdowns and meetings to support major projects. 

• Travel to project sites, 0-15% of the time, may be required.

Required Qualifications:

• Civil or Mechanical engineering graduate.

• EIT Required with intent of obtain PE License • Knowledge in Risa 3-D, or other FEA structural engineering software.

• Working knowledge of Inventor/AutoCAD,

• AISC Manual, FEA software, & structural/mechanical detailing skills.

• Knowledge of Statics and Structural Steel Design.

• Knowledge of the crane & rigging is a plus.

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.

• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

• Individual must be a self-starter with a solid work ethic.

• Desire to work in a small business environment.

• Desire to work in a “Hands-On” environment.

• Valid driver’s license & a good driving record.

• Must have US work authorization.

• Credit check, criminal background check & drug testing required.

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
