Project Licensing Lead

Work Location: (Hybrid - 2 weeks onsite / 2 weeks remote)

Duration:  Long Term - Hire options are flexible:

  • 6-month contract-to-hire through staff aug

Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate

Hours: 40 +

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary licensing lead for assigned nuclear projects across DoD/DoE, fuel facility, and/or commercial nuclear programs.    

• Develop and execute project-specific licensing plans and schedules.   

• Prepare and coordinate regulatory submittals, license applications, and supporting technical documentation.  

• Interface with DOE, DoD, and/or commercial nuclear regulatory authorities as required by the assigned project.   

• Coordinate with project engineering, safety, and QA teams to ensure licensing requirements are integrated into project execution.   

• Track licensing action items, commitments, and regulatory correspondence.   

• Identify and manage licensing risks and communicate status to the Licensing Manager.   

• Support licensing basis development and documentation as applicable to the project.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on nuclear licensing experience will be considered.

• Minimum 8–12 years of nuclear licensing experience, with experience in a project lead or senior role.   

• Experience with DOE, DoD, and/or commercial nuclear licensing processes.   

• Strong technical writing and regulatory communication skills.   

• Ability to manage multiple licensing workstreams simultaneously.

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
