Project: Turkey Point Outage - Circulation Water Pump and Motor Replacement
Work Location: Turkey Point Nuclear Plant – Florida City, FL
Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate
Per diem: $840.00/wk
Mob / Demob: $800.00 each way
Hours: 40+ starting mid November 2025 supporting pre outage activities (starting first of the year, 6/10s schedule during outage)
Duration: 2-3 months
Position Details:
The candidate will lead the Circulation Water Pump and Motor replacement project. Previous experience with large pump and motor replacements is mandatory.
This project includes:
Disassembly: Carefully take apart the RCP motor and pump components to gain access to internal parts.
Cleaning: Adhere to strict ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) requirements to clean components and minimize radiation exposure.
Inspection: Perform detailed inspections of the stator, rotor, flywheel, bearing assemblies, and other vital parts for wear or damage.
Component Replacement: Replace worn or failed parts, including stators, seals, shafts, impellers, and bearing assemblies.
Reassembly: Reassemble the pump and motor according to manufacturer specifications and strict quality standards.
Testing: Conduct commercial no-load tests, final electrical testing, and other performance tests to verify the pump's proper operation.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all activities and inspections performed.
Key responsibilities
Budget and schedule management, leading project teams, coordinating stakeholders, ensuring adherence to nuclear regulations, and managing contracts and contractors.
Project Planning & Execution: Define project objectives, develop detailed project schedules, and oversee project execution from start to finish.
Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial viability and efficient resource allocation.
Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, and direct them on work scopes.
Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal project procedures.
Risk & Change Management: Identify and manage project risks, oversee change orders, and ensure compliance with funded scope.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare formal progress reports, maintain accurate project documentation, and report on performance metrics to stakeholders.
Ability to work a 6/10 schedule during outage, starting mid-January 2026. Pre outage activities start mid November 2025.
Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
