Rate: is open and non-exempt
Hours: 40 Hours per week
Per diem: Expenses in accordance with travel policy
Mob / Demob: Reimbursed in accordance with travel Policy
Trip home: 1 per month after 90 days on site

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
LANL is seeking an experienced Project Manager 3 to support ongoing projects at Los Alamos National Laboratory. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of independently leading complex technical and construction-related projects with significant impact. The ideal candidate will bring 15 or more years of experience in project management and a deep understanding of project controls, scheduling, and budgeting.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage all aspects of assigned projects
Provide leadership to project teams and group leaders to ensure successful execution of project goals
Monitor performance against budgets and schedules, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions
Oversee personnel administration, including assigning key personnel and approving team appointments
Review and approve project budgets and schedules
Participate in division-level policy planning and strategic development
Coordinate and manage complex, multi-functional projects within a single business line
Apply creative and effective problem-solving to resolve complex project issues
Serve as a subject matter expert with broad decision-making latitude
May serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM), supporting earned value, reporting, and corrective action implementation
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in project management, engineering, construction, project controls, or procurement
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Extensive knowledge of project management tools and techniques, including planning, budgeting, and performance measurement
Proven experience delivering detailed status reports and applying corrective actions when necessary
Advanced understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Control Account Management (CAM) practices
Strong ability to develop innovative solutions and manage high-level, technical work independently
Experience managing projects within DOE, federal, or high-security environments is highly desirable
Preferred Experience:
Background in nuclear, oil and gas, DoE, or federal construction environments
Structural, mechanical, or electrical project experience preferred
Prior DOE Q clearance or ability to obtain a Q Clearance.
