Quality Assurance SME
Project: Advanced Reactor construction
Work Location: Idaho National Laboratory - Idaho Falls, ID / Scoville, ID
Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate
Per diem: $178.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $500.00 each ($1,000 total)
Hours: Full Time (40 hrs / wk)
Duration: Long Term - individual may choose the option of going direct after 6 months (not required, may remain a contractor)
Responsibilities:
Maintain a high level of understanding of company standards and guidelines.
Provide update to employees on client critique results.
Initiate, Implement, and close Corrective Action Reports.
Facilitate Root/Apparent Cause Analysis.
Plan and perform quality assessments
Maintain a solid knowledge base of District Quality Manuals and project requirements.
Identify potential quality incidents before they arise.
Participate in all project activities and provide input/feedback as it relates to quality assurance.
Help in the planning of, and participates in, internal quality audits/surveillances. Conduct reviews of required documents and support materials, interviews staff, and administers online audit questions to assess compliance with documented procedures.
Provide administrative support for audits, other Quality Department programs and initiatives, and Monthly Operations Reviews.
Facilitate quality presentations.
Disseminate quality information, presenting information at department discipline meetings, etc.
Mentor Project Staff and promote a culture of Quality.
Draft and maintain a Project Quality documents for any given project including the Quality activities required on a project and associated metrics. Collect and sort quality data and perform statistical analysis to enable proactive solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical discipline field.
2 years of quality or related experience is required
1-year nuclear experience is required.
Working knowledge for the implementation of Commercial Grade Dedication for materials, equipment, and services.
Knowledge of industry standards of quality, such as NQA-1, ISO-9001, Six Sigma, and/or US NRC Reg Guides is preferred.
Proficient in various problem solving and causal analysis techniques.
Working knowledge of quality control procedures relating to construction activities is preferred.
Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in a wide-ranging climates and environments.

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
