In support of Licensing Department
Work Location: CA or UT (Hybrid - 2 weeks onsite / 2 weeks remote)

Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate’s requested rate
Hours: 40 +
Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear safety analyses in support of licensing applications and regulatory submittals across DoD/DoE, fuel facility, and/or commercial nuclear programs as assigned.
Prepare and review safety analysis reports, hazard analyses, and supporting technical documentation.
Evaluate design changes and modifications for safety significance and licensing implications.
Support development and maintenance of the safety basis for nuclear facilities.
Coordinate with engineering and licensing teams to ensure safety analysis inputs are accurate and current.
Interface with regulatory authorities on safety-related submittals and technical questions.
Apply DOE Order requirements and federal nuclear safety standards to analysis activities.
Support accident analysis and consequence assessment activities as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and hands-on nuclear safety analysis experience will be considered.
Minimum 5–8 years of nuclear safety analysis experience.
Experience with DOE, DoD, and/or commercial nuclear safety basis documentation.
Knowledge of applicable DOE Orders and federal nuclear safety regulations.
Proficiency with safety analysis tools and methodologies
Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
