Position Details/Scope of Work:
We are seeking an experienced SCADA Project Manager to support a large-scale Offshore Wind Project.
This is not an IT or corporate systems role — this position focuses on SCADA systems integration, commissioning, and project execution for offshore wind turbines, substations, and grid connections.
This position will work with project and construction teams. This project has lots of fiber optic cabling and SCADA equipment. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) Project Manager oversees the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems for industrial and utility projects. This role requires managing project scope, budget, and schedule, coordinating with engineers and contractors, ensuring compliance with technical and cybersecurity standards, and communicating with stakeholders to deliver functional and reliable automation systems within scope, time, and budget
Education Requirements:
Degree preferred, 5+ year of experience.
Must have SCADA experience
Key Requirements:
Must be able to spend at least 50% (preferably more) of their time onsite in Norfolk, Virginia and be local or within commuting distance to the project site.
Provide SCADA system commissioning project management support for a power generation facility.
Prior experience in onshore or offshore wind projects is strongly preferred.
Engineering background (Electrical, Controls, or related discipline) is highly desirable.
Must have hands-on familiarity with setup, commissioning, and initial operations of a control facility for a generating station.
Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, controls, and commissioning engineers.
Strong understanding of SCADA systems, instrumentation, and control integration within a generation environment.
Excellent communication and project management skills to manage vendor interfaces, schedules, and commissioning deliverables.
Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
