Duration:11 Months
Schedule: 40 Hours per week
PD: $178.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $500.00 each way ($1,000 total)
Job Responsibilities:
Assess the required scope of work and explore alternative solutions for required mechanical modifications.
Sponsor plant modifications through the plant approval process.
Fulfill the role of system lead engineer for mechanical modifications.
Ensure adequate mechanical systems integration and serve as the plant systems subject matter expert for assigned mechanical systems.
Support changes to the Preventive Maintenance and Surveillance Program related to mechanical equipment.
Identify Critical Spare Parts for mechanical systems.
Support Operations and Maintenance technical procedural changes related to mechanical systems.
Prepare and/or support factory acceptance testing and plant startup testing for mechanical components and systems.
Interface with the Project Manager to ensure Engineering deliverables meet overall project goals and schedule.
Provide field support during modification walkdowns, installation, testing, and as-built verification of mechanical systems.
Comply with regulatory requirements including 10 CFR 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation, and any required supporting analyses.
Perform other assigned duties as determined by the Engineering Manager.
Fulfill assigned duties in the Emergency Response Organization.
Requirements
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience performing related engineering work in a nuclear power plant or related industry.
Note: This position requires strong mechanical systems implementation expertise, with demonstrated experience in mechanical commissioning activities.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical systems engineering, including hands-on commissioning or startup support.
Familiarity with ASME codes, piping and pressure vessel standards, and mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, heat exchangers, HVAC, etc.) in a nuclear or regulated environment.
Experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance requirements applicable to mechanical systems.
Availability for shift work during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
Must possess a valid US driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
