Sr. Program Manager - (TVA1JP00003652)

Work Location: Chattanooga, TN (with up to 30% travel)

Estimated Duration: 6+ months

TVA Per Diem: $1,500 / month

Position Description:

This position is responsible for all engineering and technical oversight associated with assigned capital projects developed and executed by the respective department within GPFS. Duties include development of engineering contracts, control of project design, compliance with TVA & industry standards, QA/QC, and management of engineering budgets & schedules. For assigned projects, this position leads engineering for scoping, study, design, procurement, construction, and ensures replication of engineering solutions. This role establishes and communicates engineering priorities to contract partners, project team members, and management. It also provides leadership and technical direction to the project design and execution team while ensuring quality products from design firms, contractors and OEMs meet or exceed project requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education – Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, technical field, or equivalent education, training and/or related work experience. Master’s degree preferred, but not required.

Experience – Requires 5+ years utility project/program manager experience, or equivalent functional area work experience. 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities — Project management professionals must possess a combination of communication, technical, leadership, strategic, and business management expertise, as well as the ability to learn and keep pace with technology. Personnel assigned to manage projects must have the skills, ability, and experience commensurate with the size and complexity of assigned projects.
