OPERATIONS – STAFFING SOLUTIONS
OVERVIEW
BCP is a global supplier for Vogtle Units 3 and 4 New Build Construction projects. Within that relationship, BCP works directly with Vogtle Cyber Security Site Leads to provide cyber security talent and expertise to support the implementation of the Vogtle 3 and 4 Digital platforms.
CLIENT ISSUE/PROBLEM
SNC is working with Westinghouse at Plant Vogtle Units 3 and 4 to implement the first-of-a-kindAP1000 in the United States, and with new digital systems throughout the plant, as opposed the conventional approach of analog controls and systems., the result is a first-of-a-kind precedent for both the Southern Nuclear fleet and the industry.
With this FOAK project, SNC is one of the first utilities approved by the NRC to utilize the electric power Research Institute Technical Assessment Methodology (EPRI TAM) for Cyber Security.
SOLUTION
Because of the need for specialized Cyber Security talent, BCP recruited and then implemented a hands-on, detailed technical interview and screening process on all potential candidates. Only after the candidate passed the BCP interview process, the candidate was submitted to SNC for a final interview and potential acceptance.
CLIENT BENEFITS
Because BCP engaged in a significant and extensive interview process, SNC management interview and selection time were reduced significantly from traditional methods, saving time, energy, and costs. Because of the relationship trust and our deep bench of talent, BCP can handle and respond to CyberSecurity needs within days to SNC requests and handles all human resource/employee issues with this staff.
