The BCP Team has been a trusted partner with our Utility clients to provide License Renewal Application (LRA) submittal and Implementation project expertise. We have provided key technical and project leaders for license Renewal Applications (LRA)preparations and submittals and new operating license applications from the ground up for both PWRs and BWRs.

With over a dozen License Renewal projects, the BCP team has extensive licensing, project oversight, and NRC experience and knowledge to meet any challenge.  BCP is often called upon to deliver technical and project expert oversight for troubled LR projects to drive and see the project through the NRC approval process for the LRA or LR implementation inspections in accordance with NRC procedures IP 71002, 71003, and NRC inspection manual 2516.

We support virtually any aspect of license renewal. Our experts have been involved with scoping and screening, aging management reviews, and development of operating experience databases. We have also accomplished full aging management program implementation.

The scope and scale of the client’s License Renewal projects and the inclusion of the digitizing of the plant Process Computers across the fleet requires a significant influx of I&C Engineering talent.

SOLUTION

BCP instituted a highly focused recruitment approach resulting in becoming a primary provider of instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineering talent to the ongoing client’s Subsequent License Renewal upgrade project. This project primarily includes technical staffing to support Plant Process Computer digitalization across the fleet, focused on the control room digital system upgrades as well as the mechanical system upgrade requirements.
